Waterman appoints infrastructure lead

Engineering and environment consultancy Waterman Group has hired Ajaz Chaudhri from Aecom as national frameworks director, based in Manchester.

Chaudhri’s appointment will see him take on a leading national role in the infrastructure and environment business.

Chaudhri held a number of board and senior management positions with Aecom, both in the UK and overseas. During his time at Aecom, he successfully developed several local authority frameworks. More recently in his role as engineering director, he took on the design and delivery of several infrastructure contracts for the Public Works Authority in Qatar.

His role at Waterman will include developing and managing a portfolio of frameworks across the country, for clients from the public sector, which include government agencies and local authorities, and from across the private sector.

Chaudhri will also be responsible for promoting the growth of regional work streams in the Midlands, Northern and Scottish regions.
