Warrington’s Time Square bought by council for redevelopment

Warrington council has acquired the three-acre retail site Time Square in Warrington from developer Big Apple for £6m with funding from the North West Development Agency.

The council said the site is key to the redevelopment of the entire Bridge Street Quarter, a £80m project of 800,000 sq ft of offices, retail, leisure and hotels.

Other assets are already owned by the council in the area and land assembly will continue to create a large development opportunity.

Designers Taylor Young have been commissioned to masterplan the Bridge Street Quarter project.
