Warrington seeks construction firms to deliver school

Warrington Council is seeking construction companies to help build a new primary school in Great Sankey.

The contract is worth £3.8m and due to start on 3 May next year with construction aimed at being completed by 13 August 2012.

The new building will be located on land currently in the control of the adjacent Penketh Community High School, which is located on Heath Road.

The council said as well as the new school building, the scheme will include the provision of a new access road, hard and soft landscaping, and the demolition of the existing school building.

Deadline for submitting tenders is 5pm on Tuesday 14 September.
