Warrington business conference being held in October

Warrington Borough Council is holding its first business conference next month.

The afternoon event will explore the working relationship between the public and private sectors and discuss topics such as 'Brand Warrington', regeneration, and the challenges and opportunities different business sectors come across.

Chairman of the North West Development Agency, Robert Hough, and Felicity Goodey from Media City will both be speaking at the event, as will senior council figures.

Cllr Ian Marks, leader of the council, said: "Warrington continues to compete strongly at the national level as a strategic home for a diverse range of businesses from telecoms, energy and marketing to publishing and transport. By working together I am sure that the private and public sectors can better serve the local community and each other in these challenging times."

The event will take place on Thursday 15 October 2009 at the town's Halliwell Jones Stadium.
