Wainhomes set for Lancashire approvals

The housebuilder is expecting planning consent for two projects at Haighton in Preston and Whittle-le-Woods in Chorley, totalling 80 new houses.

Both planning applications were submitted by NJL Consulting.

Officers at Preston City Council have recommended approval for the outline application for up to 34 new homes in Grimsargh in North Preston.

In Chorley, full planning permission will allow for construction of 45 new homes at Letherland’s Farm in Whittle-le-Woods, in a mix of detached and semi-detached properties, including affordable houses.

Katie Delaney, associate director at NJL Consulting, said: “If given the green light the schemes will assist these central Lancashire authorities in meeting their housing needs, delivering much needed high quality family housing in sustainable locations.”

Chorley’s planning committee will meet on 8 November, and Preston’s planning committee on 10 November.
