Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Formula 1 driver Jenson Button will be in Manchester on the Bank Holiday at the end of this month to demonstrate his racing car as part of a three-day event organised by Vodafone.
Button, the 2009 world champion, will drive down Deansgate before turning down John Dalton Street and into Albert Square.
Vodafone VIP Live in Manchester on 29 August will also feature an F1 fan zone, a go-kart track, an F1 simulator and a working pit garage for visitors to enjoy.
"Driving an F1 car through Manchester is going to be a unique experience for me," said the Briton. "There's a chance for the public to win some great prizes so I hope Manchester is going to be out in force and are looking forward to the bank holiday as much as I am."
