Vivark, part of First Ark Group, has recruited 12 staff to launch a landscaping service.
Five of the staff were previously employed by a social enterprise that provided landscaping services for Knowsley Housing Trust, also part of First Ark, and lost their jobs when it ceased to operate last year.
Vivark will install 40 miles of new and replacement fencing over the next five years and provide landscaping services for Knowsley Housing Trust, as well as seeking commercial work for third party clients.
Facilities management company Vivark was launched towards the end of 2012 and recently signed its first contract with Knowsley Housing Trust, a deal worth £32m. The company has expanded its services into eco technology, training operatives to maintain PV panels and solar thermal heating systems.
Tony Cahill, executive director of commercial services at Vivark, said: "We are investing in our skills base to further enhance the value and quality of our service to customers.
"We are especially pleased that we could offer employment to these already highly trained operatives who unfortunately lost their jobs last year.
"As our business grows we will be able to create further jobs and training opportunities in our local area, which is part of our wider commitment to giving back to the communities we work in."
Vivark provides a range of services including repairs and maintenance, facilities management and refurbishment to customers in private commercial properties, the public sector and private residential markets in the North West.
