Vita lures director from Ask

Vita Ventures, the Wilmslow-based property developer behind upmarket accommodation provider Vita Student, has appointed Andrew Parker from Ask as director of projects.

Parker will help oversee delivery of the company's seven existing developments, valued at £100m and containing 1,140 units.

This includes a new-build tower currently on site at Ask's First Street in Manchester and refurbishment projects in Liverpool, Exeter, Bristol and Southampton.

Parker will co-ordinate and manage new projects, from inception through to completion, as the company implements an aggressive land acquisition strategy to service the growing Vita Student brand and complementary new concepts such as hotels, residential homes and offices.

Parker was operations and procurement director at Ask Property Developments.

Trevor Moore, chief executive of Vita Ventures, said: "Andrew's operational skill set and experience means he is ideally equipped to manage Vita's multiple large scales schemes and help us meet our ambitious development targets.

"His appointment is just one piece of our ongoing plan to build a high quality development team with the ability to tackle a wide variety of projects."

Parker added: "It is an exciting time to be joining the team at Vita Ventures, as it has a number of diverse and challenging projects coming up in the rapidly evolving student sector. I'm looking forward to establishing us as a business known for its ability to deliver top quality developments across a range of uses."
