Vinden puts down roots in Manchester

Consultancy Vinden Partnership has moved from Watch This Space to an office in Manchester’s Barton Arcade, to be run by Ian Rooke who joined the firm last month from Arcadis.

Rooke will report to Martin Bennett, Vinden’s director of quantity surveying, project management and fund monitoring services. He will be joined in Manchester by business development manager Janet Crabtree and QS Jacob Astle to work on Vinden’s city centre projects.

Bennett said: “After some great project wins in the last 12 months and repeat commissions from our satisfied clients it was the right time to move from the desk space we had in Princess Street to our own offices in the centre of Manchester.

“We are very pleased with the loyalty of our clients and industry colleagues and we look to repay this loyalty by providing a quality service with full director involvement from project inception to handover.”

Business won by Vinden in recent months includes work for Assetz and Progressive Living on North Central – a 64-apartment scheme close to Angel Gardens, Manchester – work with developer Endeavour and on Laurus Homes’ St Bede’s project, along with work for the UKLP joint venture on the Grainger-funded 375-strong PRS scheme on Gore Street, Salford.

Bennett, who was named to the main board last year, said that Vinden, also based in Bolton, Nottingham and London, has been picking up work in Liverpool and Yorkshire, hinting that further offices may well be opened in other locations in the coming year.

The firm offers a range of services across property and construction, including dispute resolution.
