Vinden appoints arbitrator

Bolton-based construction advisory firm The Vinden Partnership has appointed arbitrator Jeremy Sutcliffe to work within its dispute resolution offering.

Sutcliffe has worked in the construction sector for 45 years, and developed a specialism in arbitration which has seen him sit on several panels including the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors' dispute resolution service and the Construction Industry Council.

He spent several years in the Middle East including two years as senior director of FTI Consulting before returning to the North West in 2014 to establish his own consultancy.

Sutcliffe will work out of Vinden's North West office but will travel nationally and internationally to advise clients.

Peter Vinden, managing director, said "We are honoured to have Jeremy on board – he is well known in the domestic and international stages, and with over 35 years' of experience of claims in construction and civil engineering, he is a valuable addition to our team. We plan to use Jeremy's experience overseas to expand our offering in this field to exciting new ventures outside of the UK."
