Venmore raises £1.85m in latest sale

The Liverpool auctioneer said there was a high level of pre-auction activity before its September auction, with 13 lots out of 40 on offer selling prior to the auction day.

Venmore held its auction on 13 September in Liverpool Town Hall's Council Chambers. As well as the lots sold prior, 12 properties sold in the room and five afterwards.

The best selling lot of the day was a vacant three-bedroom semi in the Thornton area of Crosby. The original guide price was £80,000 but was increased to £100,000 due to high levels of pre auction interest and the property finally sold for £117,000.

Lot 34, 16 Grafton Grove was also snapped up by a local developer who had lived in the property 15 years ago.

Venmore is now inviting instructions for its 21 November auction. The catalogue will close on 22 October.
