He moved on in 2006 to CS2 to open its Manchester office and joined WHR Property Consultants in March 2010, leaving in January this year.
Stuart Hicks, director and head of Dunlop Heywood Manchester, said: "It's great to have John back in the Dunlop Heywood fold. We worked together for many years and I was keen to get John on board bringing his consultancy and client-side experience with him. He and Chris will make an extremely strong team with their combined skills."
Dunlop Heywood also announced the appointment of Chris Threlfall as consultant in valuation. Threlfall had been working for himself for the past couple of years. He previously worked for DTZ and Eddisons.
