US building materials supplier signs at Kingsway

CR Laurence, a supplier of windows and stone to the construction industry, has signed for a 71,000 sq ft prelet unit at Wilson Bowden's Kingsway Business Park in Rochdale.

The move follows the takeover of Rochdale-based Ebor earlier this year by the Los Angeles group. Ebor's existing premises at Gorrells Way in Rochdale will be retained but the majority of staff will relocate to Kingsway when construction of the new premises completes next summer.

The move is a welcome boost for the 420-acre business park after a quiet period and follows earlier deals with Japanese firm Takeuchi and Vindon Scientific which are both already operating at Kingsway.

Robert Grafton, development director of Wilson Bowden Developments, said: "We are extremely pleased to welcome CR Laurence to Kingsway Business Park. The organisation, which operates in the US, Canada Australia and Germany, has chosen Kingsway as its new European headquarters, confirming the quality offer here."

The retained agents at Kingsway are P3 Property Consultants and Jones Lang LaSalle.
