United adds to office base

Manchester United FC has signed a five-year lease on 12,550 sq ft over two floors at 701 Chester Road, close to the Old Trafford stadium, for use by its expanding commercial departments.

The landlord is London-based O&H Properties, advised in Manchester by letting agent Canning O'Neill.

Conrad O'Neill, director of Canning O'Neill, said: "Clearly, the proximity to the stadium was a major factor in Manchester United's decision to take accommodation at the building, but the flexible deal and competitive rent on offer were also important to them."

The deal leaves two suites of 1,850 sq ft and 4,000 sq ft available and the quoting rent is £9/sq ft.
