Unicom expands into Barlow House
Telecoms and power specialist Unicom has signed for 5,627 sq ft at Orbit Developments' Barlow House in Manchester city centre.
Unicom was previously based in another Orbit property, 18 to 22 Mosley Street, but required additional space after creating 40 new jobs.
The company will be based on the fifth floor of Barlow House, which is located just off Portland Street.
Barlow House has recently benefited from on-going investment and the creation of a small suite scheme to provide flexible space suited to the SME market in central Manchester.
The smaller suite scheme is available on a new flexible "all inclusive" package at £26 a sq ft.
Paul McLeman, leasing director at Orbit Developments, said: "Unicom is a fast growing company and they will continue to benefit from the close proximity to Piccadilly Gardens, mainline train stations, the metro link and various amenities."
Chris Earle, chief executive of Unicom, said: "We are looking forward to the move to Barlow House. We were impressed with the office space available and its central location.
"It's a great base to continue to grow our business from."
OBI and LSH acted for the Landlord. Unicom represented themselves.
