UL relocates in Warrington
The Co-operative Group has let a 6,000 sq ft office building at Cygnet Court on Centre Park in Warrington to Underwriters Laboratories.
The independent product safety testing organisation, Underwriters Laboratories, which is relocating from a 3,000 sq ft office at Dallam Court in Warrington, has signed a 10 year lease for the standalone unit at £14.50/sq ft.
Jonathan Baucher, associate at Cushman & Wakefield, said: "These was a strategic move for Underwriters Laboratories as they had outgrown their previous premises but were keen to stay in the same area so we worked hard to find suitable accommodation that suited all their requirements. The location of Cygnet Court and its high quality accommodation proved decisive against the other options that had been shortlisted."
BE Group and DTZ represented the landlord.
Simon Roddam, from DTZ's office agency in Manchester, added: "This letting further aids the recovery of office take-up in Warrington, which totalled 136,000 sq ft in the first six months of 2011. Already take-up has surpassed that achieved for the whole of 2010 in Warrington, which indicates clear signs of improvement in the office market during what has been a very difficult period."
