Tyre wholesaler takes 52,000 sq ft at Trafford Park
In the latest major letting at Trafford Park, Oak Tyres has signed a five-year lease on Tenax Cross 2, a recently-refurbished 51,500 sq ft warehouse and office.
Acting on behalf of landlord Rosedale Property Holdings, JLL has secured Oak Tyres at a rent of £5.75/sq ft, and the company joins other nearby occupiers including PG Tips, logistics company Kuhne + Nagel, and safety equipment supplier Arco.
Tenax Cross 2 has been vacant since September 2017 and a major refurbishment completed earlier this year.
Richard Johnson, director at JLL, said: “There is a shortage of mid-sized industrial warehouse units at Trafford Park and the surrounding area. A tenant was found whilst the refurbishment was still ongoing – it’s prime location and refurbishment made it a very attractive location.”
Other major deals at Trafford Park in recent months have included a 100,000 sq ft letting by safety equipment supplier Globus, which took the last available unit at the speculatively-developed Trafford Point earlier this month.
The company is paying a rent of £6.50/sq ft for the space, a new record prime rent for the area.
Surely we live in the most exciting of times.
