Two-year-old Black Cat keeps hiring

The independent building consultancy established by ex-CBRE colleagues in 2015 has added its ninth member of staff, Kathryn Stewart, joining from Colliers International as associate director.

Stewart said: “Black Cat are quite unique and have brought something which is new and very transparent to the profession. The team are very enthusiastic, dynamic and entrepreneurial and I am looking forward to working with them.”

Ben Golby, one of the founding directors at Black Cat Building Consultancy, said: “Kathryn is passionate, dedicated and driven. She joins with a fantastic record of delivering important projects to blue chip companies throughout the UK.”

Black Cat has surveyed 14.5m sq ft of commercial buildings in its first two years and has negotiated dilapidations settlements totalling in excess of £8.3m. In addition, the team has carried out survey due diligence on clients’ new acquisitions of over £100m and is managing £30m of projects.
