Two sign at Marine Point

Pizza Express and Iceland Foods have become the latest brands to sign for Neptune's 218,000 sq ft waterfront development at the end of the Wirral peninsula.

Pizza Express Restaurants agreed a 25-year lease on 3,000 sq ft and will pay an annual rent of £50,000.

Iceland Foods signed a 15-year lease on two conjoined units extending to 6,144 sq ft at a rent of £92,000 a year. Iceland is fitting out and will be open for trade on 4 March 2014 and Pizza Express will be open for Easter.

Daniel Hynd, project director of Neptune, said: "Since opening in late 2011, Marine Point has really established itself as a leading retail and leisure destination in the Wirral. Testament to this is the strong tenant line up it has attracted including Morrisons, Grosvenor Casino, Green King, Prezzo, Starbucks, La Tasca, Chimichanga and Loungers. Many of our operators have reported outstanding trading since opening, which further reinforces the strength of New Brighton."

There are three remaining units, two of 2,750 sq ft and one of 1,754 sq ft.

Neptune said it plans to start on site shortly with 24 apartments marking the final phase of the New Brighton masterplan.

Savills and Mowbray Gill are the retained letting agents.
