Two deals secured at Vulcan Point

Avison Young has completed the sale of one block and the lease of another at the speculatively-developed Vulcan Point in Oldham.

The largest unit, covering around 16,400 sq ft, has been sold by Beva Investment to General Traffic for £1.3m, while the smaller unit, totalling 14,700 sq ft, has been let to Ambassador Textiles on an eight-year lease.

Avison Young acted on both deals, and marketed the units at a rent of £6.25/sq ft. Vulcan Point sits around a mile outside of Oldham town centre, and is next to the existing Vulcan Business Park and the Prince Charles Business Centre.

Ruth Leighton of Avison Young said: “Demand for quality, strategically located, industrial sites remains high, so we expected to receive a lot of interest for both Vulcan Point and Vulcan Business Park. Work only completed on site in late 2018 so we are delighted that this speculative new development is now fully occupied.”
