Turley expands at 1 New York Street

Turley Associates, the independent planning and urban design consultancy, has taken a further 2,602 sq ft at Invesco's office building in central Manchester where it already occupies 6,202 sq ft having signed a new 10-year lease for the rest of the 10th floor.

CBRE and OBI Property are the joint letting agents acting on behalf of the landlord, Invesco. Rupert Barron, director of Colliers International, represented Turley Associates.

Paul Deehan, director of finance and resources at Turley Associates, said: "Our long-term commitment to expanding our operations in Manchester demonstrates our confidence in our business in the North West and nationally. It provides a strong base for our expanded and growing range of services, not only planning but also urban design, economic planning, heritage, local engagement and graphic design."

Notable hires at Turley in recent months included Jaimie Ferguson from BDP to head up urban design and masterplanning and economic analyst Richard Laming from GVA.

John Ogden, managing director of letting agent CBRE North West, added: "As an existing tenant, Turley's was keen to remain in the building as the high quality accommodation, coupled with the contemporary design and plenty of natural light, provided an ideal working environment for its team."
