Triton Construction picked for Stakehill 185

Developer Patrick Properties has appointed the contractor to deliver the 186,000 sq ft  manufacturing and distribution facility at the well-established Middleton estate.

The development will include 12,000 sq ft of office accommodation over three floors. The site formerly housed a 190,000 sq ft distribution centre for Sainsbury’s and was acquired by Patrick in 2009.

Patrick secured consent earlier this year for the site’s redevelopment. The architect for the scheme is Fletcher Rae.

Stakehill Industrial Estate is a 200-acre logistics park close to the M60 and M62 motorways, with occupiers include Tesco, Aldi, Booker, Toolstation and Yodel.

Triton, which is also working on industrial schemes in the region at Chancerygate’s Mersey Reach, a new warehouse for The Folien, ad on a project for SureStore, has already started ground preparation works on site.

Paul Clarkson, managing director at Triton Construction, said, “At 185,000 sq ft, it is our biggest logistics project to date, placing us as a strong contender in the ‘big sheds’ delivery market.”

Agents on the scheme are Savills and B8 Real Estate.

Patrick Properties was established in 2002 as UK industrial-focused property business, and sits within Brian Kennedy’s Latium Enterprises group.
