Train 2000 seeks contractors for Liverpool business centre

The organisation for women's enterprise and employment has published a tender for a construction contract, ranging between £3.5m and £4.5m, to build a business centre facility in Liverpool.

The ten-month contract will involve the construction of the Women's International Centre for Economic Development, which will offer around 20,000 sq ft of office, incubator, conference and other relevant accommodation, with associated external works.

Train 2000 is currently based in Wellington Buildings on The Strand in Liverpool city centre and became established in 1996.

The company was set up to make economic development programmes for women on Merseyside more accessible.

Deadline for submitting tenders is 26 March.
