Towers deal takes 2015 tally to 50,000 sq ft

Student residential developer Mason & Vaughan Group has agreed a 10-year lease on the whole of the 11, 700 sq ft ground floor of Ocean House in Towers business park South Manchester, at a rent of £21.50/sq ft.

Mason & Vaughan, which also trades as Pinnacle MC Global and Pinnacle Alliance, relocated from an Orbit building in Wilmslow.

Richard Dinsdale, associate director at Edwards & Co, said the latest substantial letting at Towers was “continuing an extremely successful year for the scheme.” He added: “The Towers has been South Manchester’s leading business location over recent years with over 50,000 sq ft of new lettings carried out in 2015 alone. Furthermore, a transaction of approximately 33,000 sq ft is on the cusp of completion and is due to be announced shortly.”

A Mason & Vaughan spokesman said: “We were attracted by the fantastic location and leafy campus setting, which we know will be a real win for our team and have a positive impact on the quality of their working day. The move to Towers marks a strategic expansion for our business and we look forward to making a successful start in our new space.”

Towers is located in Didsbury, with amenities on site and nearby, reinforced by the Metrolink extension to East Didsbury.

CBRE, Edwards & Co and Colliers International are the appointed letting agents on Towers and Bilfinger GVA is the managing agent for the estate. Towers is owned by US private equity fund Lone Star, in a portfolio managed by Hudson Advisors.
