Tower Wharf office on site

Longmeadow Estates has started the construction of a 48,000 sq ft office at Tower Wharf in Birkenhead, with a pre-let deal understood to be agreed with call centre operator the Contact Company.

The £11m four-storey office block designed by Falconer Chester Hall will occupy a vacant piece of land owned by the Homes & Communities Agency. The scheme is partly financed by the European Regional Development Fund.

Eric Wright Construction is the main contractor, with the project due to be completed in October 2015.

FCH and Longmeadow Estates previously worked with the Contact Company on the acquisition and refurbishment of the Queensgate building in Felton in 2010 for TCC's second Birkenhead base. Queensgate is TCC's head office.

At Tower Wharf, the FCH design team is supported by Muir Associates, Abacus Consult and AECOM which is providing a multi-disciplinary service of employer's agent, quantity surveyor and CDM-C.

Impressive. Right from under the noses of Peel as well. Congratulations to the developer.

I think Peel are actually involved in this.

John, They are not involved.

By The Knowledge

Correct, Peel are not involved but I’ve a feeling they wish they were. Congratulations to Longmeadow and Eric Wright for being involved in what must be one of the most high profile developments in the area in a while?

Hooray!
