Thomas Barnes wins Cumbria Constabulary contract

Bury-based construction firm Thomas Barnes & Sons has secured its third contract with Cumbria Constabulary for the redevelopment of Kendal police headquarters.

The £3m project involves the construction of ten new cells, custody suite, and refurbishment of the existing facilities.

The project follows the work Thomas Barnes & Sons did on the £7.1m Carlisle divisional headquarters in Durranhill, completed in April 2009, and Cumbria headquarters at Carleton Hall in Penrith.

Thomas Barnes & Sons also has an area office in Sefton House on Bridle Road in Bootle, Liverpool.
