Clearly (if this is actually real ) the planners have not left their tax havens long enough to discover that the entire site absolutely reeks of poo 10 months out of the year given the close proximity of the huge sewage works. Not ideal for a health spa.

At what point do they think junctions 9 and 10 of the M60 can’t actually cope with any more destinations off them? Traffic is bad enough as it is!

Karen I too can’t bare the Trafford centre but Liverpool 1 is no better, what promised much has turned out to be a major disappointment with a poor retail offer and dull architecture.

Liverpool One is beautiful with plenty to offer with a park looking over The Royal Albert Dock its clean refreshing and vibrant that fits in with todays modern living , and outdoing anywhere else in the North of England , so I guess you are wrong and tell that to the millions that shop there and the coach loads of visitors daily that come from all over including Manchester

The Trafford Centre is like Blackpool? Please point out where the branch of John Lewis and Selfridges are Karen? I must have missed them in amongst the pound shops.

I personally think this is absolutely awesome news, provided they can sort out the increased congestion this will cause. Anyone who’s been to the one in Bucharest will know how awesome these places are. This will be a major draw for the area and the whole of the north.

…anyway, back to the positive news of foreign investment into new leisure facilities in Manchester. Adding to what is an already amazing leisure offer in this area.

Therme Manchester will bring together the tradition of the ancient Roman spa with an indoor tropical paradise.

Are you sure? Judging by some of the mud slinging around these pages…

What leaflet drop. I live within walking distance & I haven’t had a leaflet. The place is already gridlocked don’t need anymore traffic especially as we get told it will not affect local people. It bloody does. Can’t even get onto the motorway at Eccles some days to go anywhere with the queuing traffic to get to stuff round there.

Will this be £200 for a family of four for a day out or even more.

I am a local resident and I didn’t receive a leaflet! I’m not sure how this will ‘ have a long lasting positive impact on communities’? The traffic round there is already horrendous and another ‘attraction ‘ is only going to make things worse. I have to drive past to work 5 days a week and it’s already hateful!! There should be discounts for residents in the vicinity then maybe a bit of well being will be restored.

A lot of negativity about this project. Think yourselves lucky as it could have been a Roman arena where you’d all be fed to the lions for moaning. As for me, I like the idea and will be getting a toga and sandals as soon as it opens.
