Tesla launches in Knutsford
The American designer and manufacturer of electric cars has opened its first showroom in the North of England in Canute Place, Knutsford.
The 3,000 sq ft unit was let by Monckton Properties, part of the Tatton Estate.
Tesla Motors officially opened earlier this month. The showroom includes the Model S design studio, the dual motor Model S rolling chassis and branded merchandise, and serves as a base for test drives.
Jim McCain, property manager at Tatton Estate, said: "The investments by Monckton and Tesla will enhance the town centre, create high value jobs and reduce even further the amount of space not let. Knutsford is a thriving and exciting town and part of the Northern Powerhouse and we look forward to capitalising on the unique contribution Tesla and its zero-emissions technology make to the local business community and environment here in the United Kingdom."
Tesla Motors is based in California, the company operates in North America, Europe, and Asia. Tesla's stores, generally located in city centres and shopping malls, are set up as sales outlets and also to help everyone learn more about electric vehicles and technology.
Monckton Properties specialises in retail, leisure, office, agricultural and residential lettings.
