Terrace Hill poaches Lavin to launch office

Developer and investor Terrace Hill has recruited Andy Lavin, development director at Maple Grove, to head its new Manchester office.

The company's first office in the region takes the group's national network to five: the others are the head office in London, along with Teesdale, Bristol and Glasgow.

Andy LavinLavin will be tasked with sourcing off market deals, particularly leading to out-of-town retail and office development and investment.

Lavin joined Maple Grove, part of the Preston-based Eric Wright Group, in March 1995 and was made a director in March 1999. Prior to Maple Grove, Lavin was an associate partner in office agency at Grimley JR Eve. He began his career as a graduate trainee at Bernard Thorpe & Partners.

Philip Leech, Terrace Hill's chief executive, said: "The North West region is an area with significant property development opportunities and we are very pleased that Andy, with his depth of experience and contacts, has joined us to head up the new office. Our new Manchester office is an important addition to our regional network and will further our unique ability to source attractive off market opportunities in strong regional centres."

This is an extremely positive message for the property sector in the Northwest and proves that the region is still an attractive market place for property developers and investors alike. I’m pleased to see that the Northwest has still got what it takes to entice high calibre companies.
