Ted Baker expands at Liverpool ONE

Ted Baker is doubling the size of its Peter's Lane store at Liverpool ONE to 6,681 sq ft as it focuses on creating regional centres designed to "bring the brand to life".

Liverpool ONE has also attracted Tessuti as the new tenant for a 5,300 sq ft store on two levels.

It will be brand's first store in the city and will stock both men's and women's designer clothes.

Miles Dunnett, head of asset management at Liverpool ONE owner, Grosvenor Liverpool Fund, said: "The creation of an upsized store for Ted Baker has been an objective for some time given their performance at Liverpool ONE.

"They are a destination brand, and their new larger store will serve as a mini-anchor to Peter's Lane. That Tessuti is joining them is also great news, and cements Peter's Lane's position as the focal point for premium fashion in the city."

Ted Baker is expanding into a retail unit next door to its current 2,617 sq ft store.

Craig Smith, brand communication director at Ted Baker, said: "We are focused on creating regional stores that bring the Ted Baker brand to life.

"In the North West, the ideal location is Liverpool ONE.

"It is thriving, has a great reputation with consumers across the region, and our existing store has consistently delivered very strong performance."

Cushman & Wakefield and Tushingham Moore acted for Liverpool ONE. Orme Retail represented Ted Baker and Tessuti dealt directly.
