Practical completion has been achieved at Techspace One, a three-storey building made up of 46,000 sq ft of laboratories, grade A office accommodation, meeting hubs and breakout areas at the Sci-Tech Daresbury enterprise zone.
Units of between 900 sq ft and 2,400 sq ft are available.
Aimed at occupiers from sectors such as biomedical, materials, process technology and clean technology, tenant benefits include access to specialist facilities including fume extraction, provision of liquid waste disposal facility and materials/gas bottle storage areas, on-site supply of nitrogen, compressed air and natural gas, and ground floor labs with external door access.
The building’s completion follows the 10,000 sq ft Techspace Two’s arrival in September 2016. Over the course of last year, 34 companies moved to Daresbury, which is now home to 114 businesses.
Neal Biddle, group development director of Langtree and board director of the Sci-Tech Daresbury joint venture company, said: “Techspace One, together with its sister building provide grade A office accommodation and the highest specification laboratory space and will help cement our reputation as a hothouse of excellence, championing technology within the sector and a dedicated focus on open innovation.”
Sci-Tech Daresbury is a private-public joint-venture partnership between developer Langtree, the Science and Technology Facilities Council and Halton Borough Council.
