Tech firms expand in Altrincham

Digital media companies Bidtech and the Event Pad are relocating to self-contained premises in Anchorage Court, Pacific Road, Altrincham.

Both firms are owned and managed by Paul Beck, founder of direct marketing firm LBM, which he exited in 2007 following its sale to Isis Equity Partners.

Beck said: "Having spent several happy years on Atlantic Street building LBM into the force it is today, I am happy to move two of my promising technology businesses to Anchorage Court which will provide them with the right platform for what we believe will be a period of significant growth."

Bidtech and the Event Pad have taken 5,235 sq ft on the ground and first floor together with 20 car spaces on a five-year lease at £12.50/sq ft.

Daniel Lee of Regional Property Solutions acted for the landlord, Satinwood. Lee said: "The companies are currently based in unsuitable space in Timperley. Anchorage Court was chosen for its flexible open plan floor-plate, which is now being fitted out to provide an efficient and excellent working environment. The on-site parking and accessibility to local amenities were also important factors for the business and its employees."

Regional Property Solutions and TFC acted for the landlord Satinwood.

Bidtech is aimed at helping fundraising organisations manage their activities on a dedicated Apple iPad application. The Event Pad similarly allows event companies to "facilitate a truly interactive event" through iPads.
