Tech firm takes 11,200 sq ft at Birchwood Park

Radiation detection services firm Mirion Technologies has taken 11,200 sq ft at Cavendish Place on Warrington’s Birchwood Park as its new research, development, and manufacturing base.

The company already has operations in the UK at Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire, and the Birchwood Park site will be its first in the North West.

The 11,200 sq ft space will host R&D and manufacturing for radiation measurement systems, services for nuclear decommissioning, and waste management applications.

James Cocks of Mirion Technologies said: “The park’s proximity to our key customers in the North West, potential R&D partners and its sustainable access to talent at leading universities were all huge factors in our decision. We’re looking forward to now taking advantage of the networks both here at Birchwood Park and in the wider North West.”

B8 and JLL are the retained agents for Birchwood Park, which is managed by Patrizia.
