Developer and landlord Town Centre Securities has completed its year-long renovation programme at Carvers Warehouse in Manchester’s Dale Street.
TCS said that the final part of the programme, the top floor suite of 2,200 sq ft is now complete and available, this representing the only vacant space in the building. Stonehouse completed the renovation as TCS’s contractor.
Dating back to 1806, the 22,00 sq ft grade two-listed building is one of the oldest warehouse buildings remaining in the city. TCS completed its original redevelopment of Carvers more than a decade ago.
Chris Collins, associate director at Leeds-based TCS, said: “The comprehensive refurbishment programme at Carvers Warehouse forms part of our strategic plans for the regeneration of our wider Piccadilly Basin development.
“We are fortunate to have an incredibly loyal tenant base in the building and it’s fantastic to be able to deliver improved space to support our growing community.”
TCS has also invested in the refurbishment of Ducie House, which it bought from Urban Splash in 2018, in the Piccadilly Basin area. Last year it completed the Burlington House residential block with Highgrove, while also within the masterplan area it brought forward the Brownsfield Mill building now being delivered by Urban Splash as Avro.
Dave Evans, director of existing tenant The Harris Partnership, said: “The redevelopment and refurbishment of the atrium provides a welcoming environment for visitors to the office including the additional break-out space where we can utilise the new meeting pods.”
