Symmons markets Blackpool resi site

A prime residential or commercial development site on the edge of Blackpool town centre is being marketed by Edward Symmons.

United Learning has instructed the sale of the 17.5-acre former Arnold School site in the South Shore area. The site is available for development following the merger of Arnold School with Kind Edward VII & Queen Mary School in Lytham St Annes.

Edward Symmons reports strong interest from the local market.

Robert Diggle, partner at Edward Symmons' Liverpool Office, said: "The school site represents an opportunity for comprehensive residential development, subject to planning, but we also expect demand from other sectors of the market that might include nursing home or flat operators wishing to convert the existing school buildings on Lytham Road.

"Alternatively, the Lytham Road frontage could provide a location for local retail development."
