Sutton Kersh hires from Eddisons

The Liverpool estate agency has appointed Tony Webber as joint head of auctions, working alongside Cathy Holt who has been promoted from auctions manager.

Webber was at Eddisons for almost two decades, where he oversaw 20 public auctions each year in Manchester, Leeds and London.

Holt has 25 years auction industry experience, seven of which have been at Sutton Kersh.

James Kersh, managing director of Sutton Kersh, said: "Tony is one of the most respected auctioneer's in the country, bringing with him an unprecedented level of expertise.

"His appointment is certainly a major coup for the business. In partnership with Cathy, whose promotion is testament to her ongoing performance, they will form a formidable team, further enhancing our customer proposition."

Sutton Kersh generated £40m of proceeds at its Merseyside auctions in 2014, with 520 lots sold.
