Sutcliffe hires Patterson from Ryder

Civil and structural engineering consultancy, Sutcliffe has appointed Sue Patterson as its new business development manager.

Patterson has worked in the industry for ten years and joins Sutcliffe from Ryder Architects, where she was project co-ordinator for the Liverpool office.

She will be responsible for raising the profile of the company, maintaining relationships with existing clients, whilst generating all-important new business contacts.

John Sutcliffe, founding managing director of Sutcliffe, said: "The role of business development manager is vital to any company, especially in the current economic climate, so we are extremely pleased to have been in a position to appoint Sue. With her experience and existing contacts, we are confident in her ability to generate new business and in doing so, help us to expand the business still further."

Patterson said: "I have always had a very keen interest in pursuing a career in business development, so when the opportunity arose at Sutcliffe, I jumped at the chance. I think I can bring a lot to the company, especially with my contacts in the education sector, which is an area that I know Sutcliffe is keen to continue to pursue."
