Styles & Wood takes on Wheatsheaf contract

Specialist fit-out company Styles & Wood has been appointed by Rochdale Council to refurbish the entrance of the Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre.

Works had stalled after the previous contractor, Globe Management Services, went into administration in August.

Styles & Wood's projects division will complete the 25-week redevelopment project which includes demolition works, the construction of a new entrance at Baillie Street and an atrium with six escalators and two lifts, as well as changes to individual store structures.

Andy Shaw, operations director at Styles & Wood, said: "This is an important project for Rochdale Council and the local community. The works are now ready to continue and are due to complete in spring of 2015."
