Student housing firm appoints Studio North for web build

Studio North has created and launched a new website for The Student Housing Company, which operates 5,000 beds in 13 residences across the UK and continental Europe.

The team at Studio North, Manchester, was appointed by The Student Housing Company earlier this year.

The development of the firm's new online presence started with a targeted focus group with over 100 of its end users. The subsequent findings and insight have directed much of the thinking around both the features and the overall style.

The site has a brand new look that aims to engage with customers and deliver its uncompromising commitment of providing both quality and upfront information.

Various new sections have been created and it now boasts residence specific Q&As, local area guides, as well as both static and 360̊ imagery of all residences. It is also optimised for mobile devices and is equipped with a live chat facility that allows customers to get in touch in yet another way.

The Student Housing Company operates in Europe so the site has links to its Spanish and soon-to-come French properties.

Nick Wright, strategy director at Studio North, said: "This has been a great project to work on alongside The Student Housing Company team. They needed a user experience focused and engaging site that had a strong visual appeal due to the target audience. We feel we've achieved that balance, along with a reliable booking experience for students, universities, parents and investors."
