Stretton gets permission for speculative Crewe units

Stretton Property Group has secured planning permission from Cheshire East Council for a warehouse development on a three-acre site at Orion Park, Crewe.

The site will be developed in conjunction with Total Developments, with work expected to start in mid-February.

The planning permission allows for the construction of three warehouse units, associated office space, loading bays and car parking spaces. The three warehousing units will total 57,625 sq ft, with each unit also including first floor office space.

The development follows on from Total’s completion last year of a nine-unit speculatively built scheme comprising 70,000 sq ft of industrial accommodation, fully let prior to practical completion and achieved headline rentals for the town, slightly under £6/sq ft.

Ed Chantler, managing director of Stretton Property Group, said: “We believe that there is a strong demand for industrial units in this size range and are confident that we will quickly be able to attract tenants looking to take advantage of this excellent space and location.”
