Story’s Kendal housing plan passed

HOW Planning has secured outline planning approval for up to 105 homes in Kendal on behalf of Story Homes.

The 12-acre greenfield site at Kendal Parks Farm was allocated for residential use by South Lakeland Council in the Local Plan to meet demand in the town.

The planning application included areas of open space, landscaping, a children's play area and infrastructure works.

Victoria Hunter, planner at HOW Planning, said: "Story Homes has taken great care to ensure the scheme reflects the character of Kendal and surrounding area. Approval ensures they can now deliver an extensive residential development which will appeal to a broad range of individuals and families by providing a variety of high quality housing choices."

The Kendal Parks Farm site is located 2 km South East of the town centre close to bus routes and local facilities.
