Story Homes looks to build in Fylde

Consultation has opened ahead of the housebuilder submitting a reserved matters application for 50 homes off Mill Lane, Elswick.

The development will include terraced, semi-detached and detached family homes, and will include 30% affordable homes. The plans also include open space. Elswick sits eight miles east of Blackpool.

Development planner Siobhan Sweeney said: “The consultation is an opportunity for the residents of Elswick to comment and provide feedback on our plans. The site has been granted outline planning for 50 dwellings and we hope to deliver the best possible development here.

“We believe that our product is appropriate for this site due to the high quality of our houses and also our dedication to building developments which complement the local area, through thoughtful planning and design.”

Over the course of 2016/17, Story Homes delivered more than 800 houses and expects to hit a landmark 1,000 homes in 2017/18.

Consultation will run until 9 March.
