Story gets consent for Halton houses

Lancaster City Council has approved plans for 90 homes in the village of Halton.

The 13-acre site is agricultural land used for pasture, bounded by Low Road and Forge Lane.

Story Homes is set to build a mix of two to four bedroom homes, with 40% designated as affordable.

MCK Associates is the architect on the project, PWA planning is advising.

The development is near to the River Lune, and grade two-listed Manor House which dates back to the 16th-Century.

Story Homes has offices in Carlisle, Newcastle and Chorley. A proposal for 87 homes in Ulverston was also submitted by the developer last month.
