Storeys staff move in with Edward Symmons

Three staff from Storeys:ssp's base in Sale will relocate to new parent company Edward Symmons' office in Manchester city centre in January.

Edward Symmons already employed 27 in the New Bailey Street office; next month they will be joined by Beverley McDougall, a member of the Rating Surveyors Association and the current head of the Storeys:ssp Manchester office. McDougall will become director of Storeys Edward Symmons. Also making the move will be fellow rating specialists Philip Heppell and Ken Williams.

Paul Proctor, chairman of Edward Symmons, said: "Our two businesses have a real shared culture and we are very much looking forward to working with the Storeys:ssp team across our enhanced nationwide network of offices, including Manchester and Liverpool."

Storeys:ssp's employed 71 staff nationwide and, after the takeover, Edward Symmons has 285 staff. Edward Symmons has a turnover of £17m and Storeys:ssp £4m.
