Storage firm signs at Stonebridge
St Modwen has sold a 17,500 sq ft unit at Stonebridge Business Park, the third unit of four developed in 2017 at the park to be disposed of.
Unit 11 was sold to UK Storage Co in a deal worth £1.5m. The self-storage company operates across 16 cities nationwide, promising its clients easy, clean, safe and accessible storage solutions.
The last of the remaining 2017 phase of development, a 32,425 sq ft unit, fronts onto the A580. Supply UK Hire Shops and Almond Catering have previously agreed terms on this, the second speculative phase at the Knowsley site.
Stonebridge Business Park occupies a 30-acre site on the East Lancashire Road, one of the Liverpool city region’s key arterial routes.
St Modwen has also brought back to the market some units of around 2,500 sq ft each at the park, while it has also secured planning approval to bring forward Stonebridge 52, a 52,000 sq ft unit which is intended for development in 2019.
David Nuttall, senior development manager at St Modwen, said: “We’re pleased to welcome another occupier to Stonebridge. The site’s high profile location was a key attraction for the purchaser who has followed occupiers including Boels Rentals, DPD and Almonds Catering to Stonebridge.”
St Modwen was represented by Knight Frank, GVA and Pinsent Masons.
