Stoford / Ainscough’s 425,000 sq ft Ditton Park scheme passed

Developer Stoford and site owner Ainscough Strategic Land have gained outline planning permission from Halton Council for proposals to create three distribution units on a 24-acre site near J6 of the M62 in Widnes.

Rachael Ainscough, land director at Ainscough Strategic Land, said: “Remediation work to be undertaken by Ainscough is due to begin soon and should be complete by late summer this year meaning the site could be ready for development to begin by Q4 2016.”

Dan Gallagher, joint managing director of Stoford, added: “The 24.4-acre site is in an excellent location near to the Jaguar Land Rover plant at Halewood. It provides us with a great opportunity to create three industrial and warehouse units in an area that will appeal strongly to companies operating in various sectors, including suppliers working alongside JLR.”

The proposed accommodation includes units of 196,500 sq ft, 174,250 sq ft, and 85,800 sq ft all with supporting offices included.

Birmingham-based Stoford has delivered 10m sq ft of pre-let development and has more than 950,000 sq ft of pre-let space under construction throughout the UK.
