Stockport mill for sale for £2.5m

Roger Hannah & Co has been appointed to market the 175,000 sq ft historic Meadow Mill in Stockport for sale, at a guide price of £2.5m.

The seven-storey building on Water Street and Triviot Way was built as a textile mill in 1880. It currently houses a mix of industrial, leisure, retail and office tenants.

The site overlooks the Portwood roundabout, next to Tesco Supermarket and S-Park, on the fringe of the town centre.

Around 43,000 sq ft is vacant, including the fifth and sixth floors which have recently been refurbished into offices.

The mill is being marketed as having conversion and development potential.

Stuart Cooper, director of Roger Hannah & Co, said: “The Mill occupies a prime position and is currently multi tenanted, producing over £220,000 a year. There is a real opportunity to either maximise revenue or look at alternative uses for the top two floors that have recently been refurbished, to unlock the real potential. We are expecting interest from a variety of parties and look forward to the marketing process which we hope to finalise by the end of October.”
