Stockbrokers expands at Whitehills Business Park

Hargreave Hale has taken more office space in Neptune Court within Whitehills Business Park, Blackpool.

The stockbroker and fund manager moved its administration and back office operations to the 8,000 sq ft unit three at Neptune Court in January this year.

The firm was located at an office on Springfield Road in Blackpool town centre for over 40 years.

Hargreave Hale is moving its investment, front office and compliance teams to the 2,153 sq ft unit four at Neptune Court.

Hargreave Hale agreed a five year lease for an undisclosed sum on the additional unit with Lanceshire, developer of the business park.

Stuart Brookes, finance director at Hargreave Hale, said: "It is important to us that we have our investment and administrative operations teams based at one site and this new space will allow us to expand strategically in our core areas. Hargreave Hale started in Blackpool more than 100 years ago and I expect our involvement in the region to increase in the future.

"We have already hired six new staff since the first part of the office move early this year and the investment team now consists of eight dedicated investment managers in Blackpool. Hargreave Hale Sports Financial, a dedicated investment management service for sports professionals, is also based in Blackpool."

Established in Blackpool in 1897, Hargreave Hale employs 85 people in the Blackpool office and 152 people in total across all branches including London, Carlisle, Bangor, Lancaster and Worcester. The firm provides stock broking and investment management services to more than 16,000 investors.

Robert Pinkus & Co is the agent on the scheme.
