Stewart Milne kicks off 15-acre Fylde housing scheme

After securing planning consent last year, the housebuilder has started work to deliver 170 homes in Warton.

The project will be completed on a phased basis with the first 35 houses ready in early 2020, while the entire site is expected to hand over in December 2022. Planning consent was granted in November 2018.

Including a mix of two, three, four, and five-bedroom homes, there will also be 51 houses for affordable tenures on the site, which covers 15 acres off Church Road and is known as Wrea Brook Park.

Stewart Milne’s pipeline includes 2,500 homes across the region in the next five years; it has also received £11.5m from Homes England to support upcoming developments.

Stephen Daintith, land director at Stewart Milne Homes, said: “Wrea Brook Park will be a great addition to our growing portfolio of developments in the North West.

“When complete, it will offer buyers a choice of quality new homes in Warton, available at a range of price points. Located close to the seaside town of Blackpool and only a 20-minute drive from Preston, it is the perfect location for those looking for their dream rural home.

“We have already received significant interest from potential buyers which reflects demand for our homes, as well as the popularity of the area and its location in the heart of Lancashire.”
