Stepping Hill Hospital to undergo £17m redevelopment

A joint venture between Vinci Construction UK and Sir Robert McAlpine has been awarded a contract to design and build a three-storey multi-use healthcare block for Stockport NHS Foundation Trust.

The development will include an acute medical unit, surgical assessment unit, and two operating theatres with recovery facilities.

The contract is due to be completed in March 2016 and has been awarded under ProCure 21+, a national framework involving six supply chain partners across England until 2016.
